Seeds of Destiny 18 February 2023 Daily Devotional for today
MESSAGE:
SCRIPTURE: And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. – Ephesians 5:18-20.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone who knows how to pray in the Spirit will also know how to worship and praise God.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
It has been established that the Joy of the Lord is the strength of God’s children (Nehemiah 8:10). The Joy of the Lord is the secret of the strength of the saints.
Now, one way of generating the Joy of the Lord is praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit facilitates the supply of worship and praise in prayer.
Anyone who knows how to pray in the Spirit will also know how to worship and praise God. And worship is an ingredient for answered prayer.
Romans 14:17 says,
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost is a Custodian of joy and so, when you pray in the Holy Ghost abundantly, there is a flow of joy and praise which further gives you access to God’s Presence.
Ephesians 5:18-20 says,
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Many times when you pray in the Spirit, you are giving thanks. Worship is heightened and amplified in the spirit. And you see, anywhere God sees thanksgiving, He would manifest His Presence and Power.
My counsel is, pray in the Spirit, not only in the Church but anywhere and everywhere you find yourself.
Remember this: Anyone who knows how to pray in the Spirit will also know how to worship and praise God.
